Friday Freebie: Free Head and Shoulders Shampoo

There's a joke here somewhere, but it's Friday and I have a busy day.  So I'm just going to send you to the link.  Fair enough?  Okay, go here.

My Coke Rewards: Million Point Giveaway

Get your 12-pack codes ready, since Coke has brought back the Million Point Giveaway.  Okay, it doesn't have the cachet of some other contests, but it's a pretty good way to play for a little extra when entering codes.  Remember, three entries per day limit.  In theory, you should be able to get three free entries without entering codes (Official rules, section 5.b.ii (No, that's not a joke.)), but that method seems to be unavailable at the moment.

My Coke Rewards: Wednesday Deal

They must be making up for last week, which had a deal so good that I couldn't get it at 9am.  This is one of those deals that I wouldn't take even if it were free.  But in case you want a NESTEA baseball cap, have at it.  330 points instead of 550.

Good thing there's a contest coming at the end of the month.  Better start saving those 12-pack codes.

Recyclebank: 195 points

Eco-academy is back.  You should know the drill by now: a few clicks here, a few pledges there, etc.  This week is worth 195 points.  The prizes are still craptacular, but they come in and out.  Who knows, maybe there's something better next week.  Or maybe not.  Look, just click the links.  It's only a minute of your life.

Walgreens on the way

At View From the Wing, Gary notes that Walgreen's is launching a loyalty program in mid-September.  It's being led by the former head of United's loyalty program, Graham Atkinson, and, although we don't know a lot about it, it looks like it will be targeted toward certain items, including getting shots (We'll see who the true point grubbers are!).

The dynamics of this program will be interesting.  It's been a while since we've seen an entirely new program by a store this large and I'm curious as to how the lessons of the airlines will be baked in.  My local supermarket recently ran a game piece promotion in which certain items received extra game pieces, allowing the store to target higher-margin items.  That appears to be one of the roads that Walgreen's is going down.

Once all the details are out, I'll write a little more about it.

Friday Freebie: TAYLOR SWIFT's perfume

Yeah, caught my eye, also.  Alas, it's only the perfume, not the lady.  And you only get a sample.  But my wife loves when I smell like Taylor Swift.

Disney Movie Rewards: 10 points (expires today)

Apparently, only certain videos are eligible for points, since my Phineas and Ferb DVD did not come with a points sticker.  So I'll have to make do with these ten points.  Enter code: PERCY.  Shouldn't it be Perry?  He's the platypus.

Pampers points: 10 points

Man, I have a headache.  Wonder if they have Advil as a reward on PP.

Here.  And then type this: SPC822SUM12PA26.

That's all.  But thanks to Saas on FT.

Recyclebank: 165 points

I love these big ones.  Part two of the eco-thingie is open and is worth at least 165 points for clicking some links.  Don't forget to sign in to Recyclebank first.  Then, head over to the EcoAcademy.  Click on everything with a dotted line.  I was able to find 165 points worth of clicks.

Recyclebank: 50 points

The site is slow and clunky, but it's dependable.  Pick up 50 points at Recyclebank through some easy clicking.  Don't forget to sign in first.

50 points at this week's EcoAcademy.  Click on each of the lockers.  If the page just "clocks," try refreshing and see if your points got credited.

Friday Freebies: Death and Money

Well, that got your attention, didn't it?  Okay, not quite death, but eat too many of these free Cinnabon Minibons and you could end up with an early one.  But let's face it, can you think of a better way to go?  Well, maybe that guy who died on the cruise I went on over the summer, but that's a whole other story.

Here's an interesting one: Inbox Dollars sends you a few emails per day and you click on the link.  Then they give you money.  That's it.  Granted, you don't get much money, but free money is free money, and they'll give you $5 just to sign up.  Full disclosure: I get something if you sign up.  I haven't quite figured out what yet, but I believe it's a fraction of a penny per link you click.  No, I'm not exactly quitting my day job.  Come to think of it, you won't be able to, either.  At least not because of Inbox Dollars.  But it may end up paying for a chunk of that Starbucks addiction.  In any case, enough of that.  The link is here.

Recyclebank: 140 points

The good news is that Recyclebank has a new promo going, specifically, the ecoacademy.  The bad news is that the website, never known for its speed, is running extra slow today.  There appear to be a ton of points available but, until the website starts actually, ya know, working, I won't know just how many.

ETA: The site has picked up speed.  go to the ecoacademy (after signing in) and just hover over items.  You will get a message telling you how many points they are worth.

Pampers points: 10 free points

Enjoy ten more points!  Head over to Pampers and enter code FB8THXHAXTW7412 for your points.

My Coke Rewards Wednesday Deal: FTD Code

It's too bad that there are FTD coupons all over the web, since this one is actually okay.  150 points for a $20 FTD gift card.  Of course, the flowers are over-priced to begin with, but there do tend to be some good mileage bonuses for them.

Comment settings changed: Anonymous posts now allowed

After a user pointed out to me that they were unable to post a comment without signing in to, well, something, I changed the settings to allow anonymous comments.  Sorry about the previous screw-up.

My Coke Rewards: Goodbye, free points

It finally happened.  The last code for free points expired, meaning that I actually have to buy Coke products or trade through Listia.  It was good while it lasted and it is likely that MCR will run another promo soon.

Kellogg's Rewards: 20 free points

The site still has a few kinks but it's more user-friendly than it used to be.  Sign in at Kellogg's Rewards, enter code KELLOGGSMEDAL20P and be 20 points richer.  You can ignore the hyphens that pop up.

My Coke Rewards: And then there was one...

Alas, I opened my big mouth yesterday and one of the free point codes died.  We're now down to one.  The working one is 10096122897198.

My Coke Rewards: Wednesday deal: Club Pogo

I see Club Pogo everywhere but still don't have much of an idea of what it is.  It appears to me to be online games that I could get anywhere else.  But if CP is your thing, hit up MCR for a month at 25 points instead of 75.

My Coke Rewards free points codes: still going strong

We're now down to two codes that you can enter daily at My Coke Rewards, but they're worth ten points each, meaning a free 16oz soda every two days (40 points), or a free 12-pack after 13 days.  I have an account for myself, my wife, each of my kids and parents.  I believe that the limit is four per household, but it's worth a glance at the T&C, just to be sure.

Nobody seems to know when the free points bonanza will end, although the rumor is August 12.

Disney Movie Rewards: Mystery Points

Don't forget to check your email today for your monthly points from Disney.  My mystery email turned out to be nine points.  There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the number.

Pampers Points: Five free points

Welcome back!  You know, from your weekend.  And to start you off here's five Pampers points.  Enjoy!  The code is: TWIT812PT6NWK12.

Friday Freebie: Free Honey Nut Cheerios

Never cared for them much myself, but my brother ate them every day as a kid.  Sometimes twice.  Just go here and put in your info.  Facebook posting not necessary.

Recyclebank: 60 points

Another beginning of the month special: Go to Recyclebank.  Sign in.  Take the pledge for ten points, then open the SC Johnson screen.  The pink bulls-eyes are worth 10 points each and the hidden bulls-eyes, on the sprinkler and AC unit, are also ten points each (Thanks to H4F.).  Somehow, I ended up with 60 points.

My Coke Rewards: Down to 20 points daily

It looks like the codes ending in -67 are no longer active for the daily points.  But 20 free points is better than none.

My Coke Rewards: Wednesday deal for Conde Nast

This one actually isn't terrible if you want a cheap subscription to Conde Nast.  Half-price today at 100 points for the Wednesday deal.

Don't forget to get your daily forty points with the free codes.

Stouffer's points: Eight points for the survey

For those of you who collect Stouffer's points, it's time for your points.  Interestingly, the two point question does not seem to be there this month.  It may be worth checking back later for that one.

The 1,250 point gift card this month is for JC Penney.
