My Coke Rewards: 12 Days of Holiday Rewards

Part two of the holiday promo at Coke starts tomorrow with the 12 day of holiday rewards.  Each day at noon EST, MCR will post a special redemption promo at a reasonably good discount.  Note that the site tends to get jammed at this time of day, so be prepared for frustration.

MyPoints: Spin 'n Win is back

An oldie-but-goodie from MyPoints, Spin 'n Win allows you to click on a button and spin a wheel to win free points.  Free points with a game attached?  My favorite.  You can play once per day until December 4.

My Coke Rewards Wednesday Deal: Domino's $25 gift card for 1,225 points

Truthfully, I was hoping for something better on "Red Wednesday."  First, it's a lousy 30% off.  Second, it's Domino's.  But for those of you who are into that sort of thing, here you go.

My Coke Rewards: Double points on Coke, Zero and Diet Coke through 11/29

I normally write something here, but the title pretty much says it all.  Well, you also get double points on the vanilla, lime, etc. versions of the above.  So I guess that counts as writing something.

Kellogg's Family Rewards: Double points and Rewards sale

Always a favorite, Kellogg's Family Rewards is offering double points for codes on November 29, making your points only half as useless.  It's following that date up with a rewards sale from Dec 2-8, although it is being coy about what is on sale.

CVS black Friday extrabucks run

As many of you know, around Thanksgiving, CVS puts a ton of items into free after extrabucks mode, e.g., buy something for $5 and get $5 in extrabucks back.

I did my run this morning for all the free stuff.  It's an annual tradition for me and I find a lot of amusement in it. Note: Your CVS may have different items for free after extrabucks (FAE) than mine.

In Boston, this year is a highly efficient run, which means that you will have almost zero dollars out of pocket* if you do it correctly.  Your instructions, based on my local CVS ads, are below.  You'll need a copy of the ad to follow this email.  The FAE items are on pages 2,3 and the back cover.

The target price is $12.99, which means that the most expensive item on offer for FAE is $12.99.  We'll call it $13 for the sake of simplicity.  All items you purchase must be bought in lots of $13, so you can use the EB from the previous lot for the next lot.  At the end, you should have about $13 in EB, which equals your input.  Here is the order in which I'd recommend shopping:

1) Buy the glucose reader for $12.99 and receive an EB coupon for $12.99
2) Use the above coupon to buy Rescue and Mycratine and get your EBs
3) Use those EB to buy the Probiotics and both Starbucks cans
4) Use those EB to buy Advil, Total Home, Anti-Diarrhea stuff, toothbrush and Somnapure
5) Use those EB to buy everything else, which total about $13

*Okay, here's the difficult part.  Not every CVS has every product.  So the instructions may not maintain their integrity if your CVS is missing a couple.  Thus, you should be prepared to change things around on the fly to minimize your out of pocket (OOP) costs.  For instance, my CVS didn't have some of the medical stuff, meaning that my $13 target price didn't work.  So my target price became the next highest item, the Rescue at $7.79.  Using that as the target, each lot ended up being about $8 and I ended up with my last lot being $5, so I also bought the $3 toothpaste, which gives back $2.50 in EB.  In total, my OOP came out to just over a dollar, which includes the extra $.50 for the toothpaste.

What you'll need to bring:

A pen and scrap paper to redo calculations and lots if your CVS is out of any items.
Several copies of the circular, since you will mark up multiples as you rejigger your lots
A sharpie to cross out items, since ballpoint pen ink doesn't show up well

Friday freebie: Teriyaki Sauce

Yes, I'm getting desperate, but it's Komodo brand sauce, so at least it has a cool name.  Thanks to heyitsfree, from which I stole the link.

On the plus side, I found a Youtube video of an Erasure concert from 1990, so it's not all bad.

Ibotta: Double reward for referrals through November 30

I don't use Ibotta as much as I use some of the others, but I know that many here do.  Through November 30, you get $2 per referral for each person who uses your referral link and opens the app on their device.  In other words, your referral doesn't actually need to buy something, they just need to open the app.  My referral link is here and if you would like to start a Conga in the comments, please feel free.

Kellogg's Family Rewards: 100 points

Cool, free points.  KFR sent out its weekly email with a few bonus codes thrown in.  You can hunt for them or just get them here.  Truthfully, looking for them hidden in the email is kinda fun.

50 points: EATT-URKE-YTAK-ENAP
25 points: PUMP-KINP-ECAN-PIES
25 points: LEFT-OVER-SAPL-ENTY

I wonder whose job it is to come up with those codes?  Maybe some intern somewhere.

I need your help! Please respond if you can.

I recently checked statistics and noticed that I have been averaging over 100 visitors per day.  First, thank you!  My mother just can't hit the site that many times.

There's one problem: The format of the site kind of sucks.  This was my first blog and blogger is the easiest program to use, but it doesn't give you much in terms of creativity.

Thus, I'm considering moving this over to my hostgator platform and moving it to Wordpress, where my site doesn't suck quite as much.  Hopefully, the Wordpress format would look a little nicer.

Does anyone have comments, observations, etc.?

Thanks!
Mike

My Coke Rewards: Refer friends for points

Am I the only one who didn't know this?  If you go under "Offers & Promotions," it gives you the option to send an email to friends.  For every friend you refer who earns 50 points, you get 10.  Wow, this seems like an opportunity for massive over-earning.

Checkpoints: Using the same product for numerous scans

Oftentimes, Checkpoints will ask you to scan several different items by the same manufacturer.  For example, suppose you need to scan both NyQuil and DayQuil, but your store only has one.  Or you need to scan both a bucket and bottle of Oxy Clean, but the store only sells the buckets.  Turns out it doesn't matter.

As long as the products have the same parent manufacturer, you can scan the same product for multiple points opportunities.  I had five different DayQuil/NyQuil opportunities but was able to collect on all just by scanning the same DayQuil five times.

Just an opportunity if you're having trouble finding what you need.

Disney Movie Rewards: 25 points

Per H4F, enter code "Dusty" for 25 points.  Looks like they're working the DVD.  Head here for Disney's site.

Disney Movie Rewards: Check your email

I got my monthly Disney email yesterday, so be sure to check your inbox and spam for your points.  I received a whopping eight points this month.

And as an added bonus, Disney introduced a Phineas doll as a reward.  I only have Perry the Platypus and Dr. Doofenschmirtz, but maybe I'll look into it.

November tasks: Start today!

The start of the new month means it's time to do your monthly "tasks" again.  These are your point-earning opportunities that you want to do on a monthly basis.  They include:

1.  Enter a Pampers code if you are doing their monthly promo.
2.  Go to Stouffer's to get your ten points for surveys (I can't find the surveys now.  If anyone has one, please let me know.).
3.  Make a transfer into your Bluebird account if you are doing the direct deposit there.
4.  Amazon payments, if that's your thing
5.  Keep an eye out for your Disney Rewards email over the next few days.

Radio Loyalty: Points for listening to internet radio

If I were just mentioning this site for the points, it wouldn't make the cut (and I have a very low bar for inclusion), given the price of the rewards.  But it's actually a useful site.  Sign up, type in the type of music you're looking for and it will give you a bunch of options, all of which are free.  Right now, I'm rockin' to some new wave 80s.  You get ten points automatically awarded to you every ten minutes, and if you want the points but not the music, there's no reason you can't mute it.  It also has the standard "bonus offers" you can do for more points, but that's up to you.

One note: When you sign in, first sign in to the main site and then sign in again on the music page.

And yes, it does offer points for referrals.  You earn 10% of whatever your referrals earn.  Feel free to start a Conga in the comments.  I'll probably never get a prize, but if I'm going to listen to the radio anyway, might as well earn points for doing so.

Feel free to sign up here.
