Kellogg's Family Rewards: 150 free points

Have a little April Fool's Day Fun with the code APRILFOOLSDAYFUN AT KFR for 150 points.  That's a better-than-normal freebie.

Ya know, I was just looking at my site and noticed that I had an ad in the adsense box for "Condom catheters."  I'm not sure what I'm writing about, but I'm pretty sure they got this one wrong.  Wonder how much some catheter company is paying to be on a totally irrelevant site.

Friday Freebie: More laundry detergent

I know, I do laundry detergent frequently, but this is Tide, the good stuff.  Check it out here.

Kellogg's Family Rewards: Potential points in your email

I just got an email from KFR telling me they missed me and giving me a (one-use) code for 1,000 points.  I have no idea why I got it, but who am I to argue?  Check your email to see if you have the same.

Quiet weekend: No freebies

After a rush of freebies last week, I've got nothing for you today.  Sorry about that.

On the plus side, my website is now attracting SPAM comments, so I guess that moves me out of the "can't get arrested in this town" category.

Pampers Points: 10 points

Thanks to reader Stephen for pointing out that Pampers is ramping it up big-time this month and that I missed a code.  FB89SPRIN231P14 will get you 10 points at Pampers.  Thanks!

Redbox: Free rental

Thanks to H4F for this one.

Text code THIEF to 727272 and you'll get a code for a one-night game rental at Redbox.  Can only be used until 4/1, at a kiosk.

Pampers Gifts to Grow: 20 points

Well, this is a new one.  Get points for reading a short article.  More precisely, get points for clicking on a button that says you've read the article.

Go here and click that you've read the article.  You'll get 10 points.

Then do the same thing here.  More points.

Free after rebate Blu-ray DVD of "Frozen" good through tomorrow night

Topcashback, an online shopping site, has teamed up with Walmart, to offer a free DVD of "Frozen," subject to a few conditions.  Sign up for Topcashback here and, if you are a new member, you're eligible.

Clear your cookies and cache.

Type "Walmart" into the search engine on the site.  The first item will be a cashback exclusive.  Click on the orange button that says "Cashback."  On the next screen, click on the orange button that says "Get Cashback Now."  You'll be directed to Walmart's site.

Do a search for "Frozen."  You MUST order the one that costs $19.96, so scroll down a bit to that one.

Order the video.  You MUST pick it up at a FedEx store or a local Walmart store.  They'll give you a list of pick up options within your area.

In 60-90 days, you'll have your cash from TCB.  Hold onto your receipt and your order number, just in case.

And that's it.

Note: I receive a sign-up bonus if you earn at least $10 in cashback.  You will from this video.

HOWEVER: You may refer household members, friends, etc.  So if you have a spouse who wants a copy, parents, siblings, etc., they'll get a free copy of the video (Heck, sell it on eBay.) and you'll get $10 for everyone you refer.  Put both your names on the delivery and you should be able to pick it up (or just put your name on it).  Big referral bucks, lots of videos.

Kellogg's Family Rewards: 25 free points and other stuff

One of my problems, which I promise I will fix sometime, is that I don't always check the comments section of the site.  So my apologies to reader Theresa who pointed out that code FOURLEAFCLOVER25 will get you 25 KFR points, as long as you enter it before 3/24.

After having been down yesterday, KFR's site is back up on line.  They've slowly overtaken Recyclebank as the worst website in the universe.

Pampers Gifts to Grow: 10 points

It's about freakin' time.  Enter code FB897PATR349A14 at Pampers GTG for your points.

Thanks to Saas on FT, who beat me to this one.

Here's what's sad:

I'm gone almost a week and there are no freebies.  What a lousy month.  Looking forward to next month, when at least we get a whole bunch of freebies around tax day.

So I was in a conference in Las Vegas last week and wandered into a CVS on the Strip.  That store had the largest condom selection that I'd ever seen.  No, I wasn't looking, but they were all on endcaps or racks near the cash registers.  You couldn't miss 'em.

Strange place, that Las Vegas.  Hey, how many of you knew that the Strip isn't actually in Las Vegas?  True story.

And we're back!

Please comment.  Thanks!

Kellogg's Family Rewards: 400 point bonus for entering four codes on 3/17

Ahoy, matie!  Enter four codes on St. Patrick's Day and get a 400 point bonus.  Um, I'm not sure what pirates have to do with St. Patrick's Day, but it sounds good.  And I might have slipped that by you if I hadn't mentioned it, huh?

On the downside, 400 points equals out to about $.35.  Go wild.

Ibotta: Moving toward product-specific, not store-specific

One of the things that makes Checkout 51 superior to Ibotta is that you can buy the specified products at any store.  With Ibotta, you are given a list of products, but can only buy them at certain stores for the rebates.

Ibotta finally wised up and is starting to offer rebates for particular products at any store.  There are only a few this week, but I anticipate that number will be going up.  Keep an eye out.

Double points at Bing today

So after you're done flipping through my site and telling your ten best friends about it (My readership is now up to about 40, and I'm pretty sure that half of those visits are from my parents.  Thanks Mom.), head over to Bing and enjoy.

Recyclebank: 40 points

Note: This site works much better in Safari.

And then go here and flip through the slides.  You'll get a cool 40 points.

Out of office notice and possible free candy

It's my silly season for travel, so I'll be out for the next week.  As usual, I will try to keep up but can't make promises.

In the mean time, check out a Mars contest here to win free candy.  Yummy.

Mobee: Adding "achievements" for points

Mobee hasn't made any changes for a while and I've been a little disappointed with the number of participating merchants in my area recently.

But the former changed this past week when Mobee actually improved the platform (rare for loyalty-type programs) by giving extra bonuses for "achievements."  The achievements range from doing your first mission to get 100 points to completing 30 missions for 500.  There are other bonuses for shopping a certain number of times at particular merchants.  The missions also change every so often.

If you haven't signed up for Mobee, I highly encourage you to do so.  Use code BKLZ when you download the program from the App Store and we will each get 300 points ($3) when you complete your first mission.

Recyclebank: 100 points

RB has gone to a system where they are awarding big bucks at the beginning of the month and not much else for the rest of the month.  Hmm, not sure I like that.  In any case, get 100 points here.

Disney Movie Rewards: Check for your code

Check your email or spam for your code for free DMR points.  My seven points appeared last night.

Kellogg's Family Rewards

Seems to be a kink in the system.  When you sign in, they're asking you to subscribe for a new password due to security measures, as if somebody wants my KFR points.  I'm still waiting for my new password.  If anyone here has requested and received a new password, please let me know.

Disney Movie Rewards: 20 points

Disney is starting off the month with a nice 20 point bonus.  Earn 10 points each for codes ELSA and FROZEN at DMR.

March Tasks and Stouffers

Hey, it's a new month, which means it's time to hit those tasks that you can do monthly.  Actually, with Stouffers ending the trivia points, there's not much left.  So keep an eye out for the following:

  • If you are collecting Pampers points codes for the monthly bonuses, be sure to enter one this month.
  • For those of you who do Amazon payments, go ahead and do March.
  • Keep an eye out for your Disney code in the next few days.
Stouffers Dinner Club's site is down until a date TBD.  Apparently, they've become a victim of a hacker.  They say to enter your codes as normal, but I can't quite figure out how to do it without any ability to sign in.
