Stouffers Gifts to Grow: Ending 12/31/14

Well, it had to happen.  Stouffers finally realized that nobody pays a premium for frozen meals and ended their program.  It ends on 12/31/14 and you can earn and use points until then.  I'm not taking chances on prizes running out and ordered my $25 Amazon gift card today.  It's a good program and I'm sorry to see it end.

  1. I always found this program kind of useless and aimless, so am not surprised to see it go away. The Stouffers meals I buy are the big family or party-sized ones, which inexplicably did not qualify for points. As you said, when buying individual frozen meals, a points program did not even enter into my decision criteria.

The only points, therefore, I ever earned were free ones from codes you posted here. All I had points for were to enter a couple of sweepstakes, but if I win it will be thanks to this site!

  2. I can't understand why the biggest meals didn't offer points, either. The bottom line with the frozen meals is that consumers don't differentiate; they tend to buy whatever is on sale (There are, of course, exceptions to every rule.).

I cashed in my points yesterday for an Amazon gift certificate, but that's a few years worth of accumulation.

Good luck in the sweepstakes! I haven't entered, but may get stuck doing so with my last few points.
